Film Review : Into the Wild

This non-fiction movie directed by Sean Penn was premiered in 2007 and is based
on a book with the same title written by Jon Krakauer in 1996. Starring by Emile
Hirsch, the film narrates how a young boy radically changes his life after graduating
from Emory University, although he has a successful life in terms of The American
Dream.
The film is set in the early 1990s in North America. Christopher McCandless
(performed by Hirsch) is a 22 year-old brilliant and recently graduated boy who gets
rid of his entire saving accounts and (almost all) his possessions to immerse himself
“into the wild” because he doesn’t live a conventional life.
So, although his parents are worried, he begins his journey in North America and
Alaskan wilderness in which he meets different people who teach him many things
and shape his life vision (he also changes his own name), but whose lives he
entirely changes. He also summarizes his life lessons with a fascinating phrase at
the end of the movie.
The songs of the soundtrack were created by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam leader), and
fit in so well that transport you in every scene to the real feelings of Alexander
(Christophers new name). What’s more, “Guaranteed”  has won a Golden Globe
award for Best Original Song.

Into the wild” takes you from very exciting and adventurous to melancholic
moments. Emile’s performance allows you to sympathize with him and to understand
Christopher’s life philosophy very well. Although the end of the movie is shocking, I
extremely recommend watching it, especially if you are looking for some changes
in your lifestyle.

This drama, which was filmed in India in 2008, is an adaptation of the novel Q & A by
Indian author Vikas Swarup. The cast is completely Indian and it was nominated to ten
Oscars but it won eight in 2009, included Best Picture and Best Director.

Slumdog Millionaire is a story about young Indians brothers who live in the slum without

the questions resorting to his life experience.
Although he is the winner of the tv program,he is arrested by the police who think that
